The bachelor's degree program "Applied Computer Science" at the European University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg offers a comprehensive education in the field of applied computer science. The focus is on the practical application of computer science in economic and industrial contexts. Students acquire a broad range of IT skills, including fundamental concepts such as linear algebra, analysis, information technology, operating systems, algorithms and data structures, databases, computer networks, and software engineering.

The curriculum also includes practical modules such as web technologies and cloud computing, introduction to IT security, and digital transformation design. Students have the opportunity to choose from 16 elective concentrations to specialize in their field. In total, they complete five to six modules within their chosen area of focus.

Upon completion of the program, graduates are well prepared for positions such as IT administrator, application support, IT architecture, software and app development, consulting, IT project management, or entrepreneurship.

The degree program "Applied Computer Science" is the third undergraduate computer science program at the European University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg.
