The program is based on the framework requirements of the German Society for Psychology and the Professional Association of German Psychologists. Students acquire knowledge in basic subjects of psychology, applied diagnostics, scientific working methods, and interdisciplinary action competences.

There are three out of six selectable application areas that allow for the immediate implementation of acquired competences through professional and experimental internships as well as a practice-oriented thesis. The program is aimed at professionals with a non-psychological first degree, vocational training, or first-time students with (academic) qualifications without professional experience, who are aiming for a basic academic degree in psychology.

The program includes courses such as basics of psychology, diagnostics, scientific methods, and offers various application subjects that enable an individual profile. Students can choose between full-time or part-time studies while working. Successful completion awards the academic title "Bachelor of Science" (B.Sc.) and is a prerequisite for professional work in the psychological field after completing a consecutive master's degree.

The program combines the basics of psychology with diagnostics and the methods of a traditional psychology degree in order to integrate various application areas and enable an individual profile.
